Re: Santa Claus Family Tree
Santa's lineage is perhaps missing the amanita muscara mushroom

Or maybe we're to assume that the "wildman" has gone berserk after eating them to come up with Santa in the first place? Lol

Re: Santa Claus Family Tree
Well since we're having a very nerdy Christmas here at IA, I present you each with an ornament for your tree:

Re: Santa Claus Family Tree
Is that a representation of the flying spaghetti monster?
or the ungroomed testicles of an old man with off-white hair?

Re: Santa Claus Family Tree
LMAO it's the flying spaghetti monster. We have underage members now, I'll keep my testicle ornaments to myself.

The psychedelic secrets of Santa Claus
Modern Christmas traditions are based on ancient mushroom-using shamans.
cool article - [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
The meaning of Christmas as Shamanism. The mushroom colors of Santa's outfit, the mushroom growing pine trees, flying 'high' reindeers, stockings "drying" over the fire place, etc...
I would also add to the article, that the amanita muscaria is an introspective trip mushroom. It amplifies subconscious feelings about yourself. If you've been feeling good about yourself, you may experience an ego-trip while on it, making you feel great (hence good presents). But if you've been doing shitty things to other people and have a guilty conscious about it, you may experience a horrible guilt-trip. The point being that the mushroom/Santa knows if you've been "naughty or nice". That's basically it in a nut shell lol!

Re: Santa Claus Family Tree
One of the best parts of Jan Irvin's and Andrew Rutajit's theory is the Santa Claus/Amanita Muscaria one. Fully valid I feel.
I took amanita a couple of times, had the most amazing and rich lucid dreamscape ever.

Re: Santa Claus Family Tree
Wow, you are having way more fun than I am on Christmas. LOL no mushrooms for me, just two wild kids jacked up on sugar and gorged on consumerist gifting. *sigh* Ask Memes, should have seen my living room a few hours ago. Yikes.

I haven't had the amanita yet. Maybe New Year's Eve...
